Museum of Anatomy

The world-famous ‘Body Worlds’ display is the modern equivalent of an anatomy museum. The Anatomical Museum in Innsbruck is part of the city’s university and is housed in the Institute of Anatomy building. Human specimens such as skeletons, skulls, and various models can be shown here. There are both moist and dry specimens to be seen. Jars containing dissected organs such as lungs, hearts, and many more are examples.

This museum provides information about the work and history of anatomy. Visitors should be advised that actual individuals and body parts are on exhibit.
