Müllner Schanze Climbing Area

Enjoy physical exercise while discovering the most attractive part of Salzburg’s historic district: the Müllner Schanze climbing center is an amazing attraction. This rockface is transformed into an adventure playground with twelve rock climbing routes graded 1 to 6+.

The trails lead you through rock formations of varying steepness, necessitating a variety of hand- and footholds. Climbers must carry their own equipment. A ropes course, bouldering (no rope needed because you are near enough to the ground to leap down if necessary), slacklining, and a rope pyramid (5.35 meters tall, a climbing net built from 237 meters of rope) are among the other choices.

The Müllner Schanze Climbing Center is easily accessible by public transportation, bicycle, and foot, but not by automobile.
