Millennium City

MILLENNIUM City, designed by Gustav Peichl, Boris Podrecca, and Rudolf F. Weber, was erected in 1999 as Austria’s first town-in-town idea, combining office and living space with shopping and leisure facilities. MILLENNIUM City’s 50,000 square meters are home to over 100 shops from international top brands, as well as several eateries and entertainment opportunities. An estimated 14 million people visit Austria’s most contemporary shopping and entertainment area on the riverfront each year. MPC Capital’s sale of MILLENNIUM City to a consortium led by the Kaufmann Group and Morgan Stanley is regarded as the largest real estate transaction of 2014.

MILLENNIUM City was created by famous architects as a vision for the twenty-first century that set new standards in Vienna. The future-oriented planning of Vienna’s first address on the Danube is proving even more true today: the renowned Shopping Center Performance Report Austria has recognized Vienna’s first address on the Danube as the best center in Vienna several times in a row, and it was also among the top in the national ranking Secure places.

The building ensemble, which unites office units in the 202-meter-high MILLENNIUM Tower and residential apartments with the shopping and entertainment complex, is an excellent project that will be remembered as a Vienna architectural icon for the rest of its life. The MILLENNIUM City is a magnet for over 850,000 people in the direct catchment area due to its optimal link to local public transportation and private transportation.

Millennium City’s diverse offering includes around 100 well-known local and worldwide companies, 30 bars, cafés, and restaurants, as well as a bustling entertainment section with a 13-screen cinema. Meanwhile, younger visitors congregate at Monki Park, which features the country’s highest indoor rope-climbing garden, or at Flip Lab, a trampoline, parkour, and freestyle park. Ocean Park, with its bowling alleys, video games, and other entertainment alternatives, offers more relaxed forms of leisure. Night owls may convert night into day at the A-Danceclub, while sports fanatics can find a premium keep-fit address at the 5,000-square-metre Holmes Place Club. The innovative hotel Harry’s Home in the Millennium Tower encompasses around 4,200 square meters on five levels and has 97 rooms, providing guests with appealing overnight lodging who can also benefit from Millennium City’s diverse offerings.

The direct location on the Danube lends a distinctive charm to the most modern shopping and entertainment area, which is loved by both visitors and staff. Only a bridge away, the Danube Island, Vienna’s largest local recreation area, offers a plethora of sports and recreational options.

MILLENNIUM City is well-connected to local public transportation thanks to its own train station. Direct S-Bahn links to the north and west open up the surrounding area. The city core of Vienna is only a few minutes away via subway. Vienna’s port, Austria’s most important logistical hub, is only a short distance away. Vienna International Airport is only 15 minutes away by car and has the finest connections to all CEE nations. Direct highway links assure short distances for private transportation and connect the MILLENNIUM City to all of the country’s major traffic arteries.

The MILLENNIUM City is home to well-known brands and attracts over 14 million tourists each year. The variety at Vienna’s most modern shopping and entertainment center, which is constantly expanding and has garnered multiple honors from the renowned Shopping Center Performance Report, is appreciated by guests. The visitor magnets include strong brands such as Billa Plus, Bonita, Burgerista, Calzedonia, Cineplexx, Claire’s, Dean & David, Deichmann, dm Drogeriemarkt, Five Guys, H&M, Holmes Place, Humanic, Intimissimi, Jones, Levi’s, Mango, Marionnaud, MediaMarkt, Müller, Palmers, Pearle Optik, Starbucks, s.Oliver, Sonnentor, Rituals or Tom Tailor.
