The winery “Mayer am Pfarrplatz” is deeply rooted in tradition and represents the essence of Viennese Heuriger culture. It has been producing exceptional Viennese wines since 1683 in the charming location of Heiligenstadt. Ludwig van Beethoven resided in a charming suburban home on Pfarrplatz during the year 1817, which was considered the Romantic era. While residing in Heiligenstadt, he dedicated his time to the development of his most remarkable masterpiece: Symphony No. 9. At “Mayer am Pfarrplatz,” we take pride in offering a delightful culinary experience to our guests. Our menu features a variety of homemade spreads, sweet dishes, and traditional Heuriger cuisine that has been passed down through generations. Additionally, we also introduce new seasonal culinary delicacies, such as Mayer’s asparagus cordon bleu or onion roast made with organic beef.
