Margarete-Ottillinger-Park is a park in Vienna’s 23rd district, Liesing.
Margarete-Ottillinger-Park in Liesing is a 12,100 m2 park. It is located in the triangle formed by Rudolf-Waisenhorn-Gasse, Rudolf-Zeller-Gasse, and Anton-Krieger-Gasse in Vienna. It contains a playground for children and young people, a water fountain, and climbing structures in addition to meadows, trees, and benches.
On November 6, 2017, the Municipal Council Committee for Culture, Science, and Sport of the City of Vienna named the Margarete-Ottillinger-Park after the commercial scientist, business manager, civil servant, and creator of the Wotrubakirche, Margarethe Ottillinger (1919-1992).The designation dates back to an effort by the Liesinger Greens and a subsequent cross-party motion on June 29, 2017 in the Liesingerdistrict representative back by the factions of the Liesinger Greens, Social Democratic Party, People’s Party, and Pro 23.
