Liechtensteinklamm

The Liechtensteinklamm, located at the entrance to Grossarltal in St. Johann im Pongau, is recognized as one of the deepest and longest gorges in the entire Alps. With a total length of 4,000 meters, this gorge stands as one of the longest in the Alps. Approximately 1,000 meters of the gorge are accessible to visitors. The gorge’s rock walls reach depths of up to 300 meters. At certain locations, the gorge narrows down to just a few meters in width. At the conclusion of the gorge, a magnificent waterfall crashes down into the valley below with a resounding roar.
