The Leoben-Göss parish church is situated in the town of Göss, which is part of the Leoben municipality in the Leoben district of Styria.Following the demolition of the previous parish church, St. Andrew, the former collegiate church of Göss, dedicated to St. Mary and St. Margaretha, became the new parish church of St. Andreas. It featured a square choir flanked by two towers.Beneath the semi-circular apse, there is a gallery crypt. The church was destroyed by flames in both the 12th century and 1336.The construction of a Gothic choir began in the year 1338.The current nave underwent repairs and reconstruction in the late Gothic style from 1510 to 1522. This renovation was carried out by abbess Margaretha von Mindorf, who served from 1514 to 1523.
