Leica Gallery

Since 2008, the thriving gallery scene in Salzburg has welcomed a well-known name: the Leica Gallery and Boutique on Gaisbergstrasse is dedicated to photography. It brings together shops, exhibits, and cultural offerings.

FOTO Gallery Leica, as the name implies, focuses on chosen historical and current photography. A selection of recognized photographers and upcoming talents are showcased in usually six rotating exhibits per year. The gallery experience is completed with a bookstore that sells photographic books, new editions, and rare rarities.

Leica galleries may be located in 26 various sites across the world. They are all linked to Austrian Andreas Kaufmann, who purchased and rebuilt the traditional German brand Leica in 2006. Mrs. Rehn-Kaufmann, the owner’s wife, runs the gallery in Salzburg. Visitors interested in LEICA items will find them at the Leica Boutique Salzburg. Expert staff and custom-tailored workshops make the gallery a genuine professional hub.

The Leica Gallery displays at several sites in Salzburg on a regular basis. This comprises exhibitions held as part of the Festival in the foyers of the festival halls (2017) and at Hotel Sacher. Schloss Arenberg also hosts exhibitions on a regular basis.
