The parish church of Klagenfurt-Annabichl is located on Thomas-Schmid-Gasse in the Annabichl district of the municipality of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Carinthia.The Roman Catholic parish church dedicated to Christ’s precious blood is part of the deanery of Klagenfurt-Stadt in the Diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt.
In 1928, Precious Blood missionaries established an emergency church in a derelict barn.It was elevated to the status of parish church in 1947.The current church was erected between 1964 and 1965.
The rectangular-shaped church has an added tower on the south-east corner.The chancel is short and recessed, with a straight end and lofty windows.On the west and east sides, there are sacristy expansions.
The interior of the church depicts the nave and chancel beneath a flat ceiling, with round-arched nave windows.
On the chancel wall is a massive 17th-century crucifix.On the lateral walls of the nave, Baroque images of Archangel Michael and Raphael with Tobias stand.
Around 1760, Anton Artl created the high-quality carving group Maria and Annunciation Angel.
A tabernacle in modern embossing by goldsmith Julius Wantsch Vienna 1971 can be seen on the right wall of the triumphal arch.
