The castle of the Orsini-Rosenberg princes was constructed in 1638 by Johannes Andreas von Rosenberg, as indicated by an inscription found in the courtyard.Georg Nikolaus Rosenberg expanded the building in 1660.During the later years of the Baroque period, Vinzenz von Orsini-Rosenberg enhanced the facade by incorporating grand pilasters, window roofs, and triangular gables.The castle’s interior features stunning rococo stucco work, widely regarded as some of the most beautiful in Carinthia.
