Located within the Prater water meadows, on the premises of the racecourse, lies a golf course that remains operational throughout the year. In addition, there is a driving range, as well as putting, chipping, and pitching greens, along with a practice bunker, to facilitate focused and rigorous golf practice.
Golf legends and major winners such as Jack Nicklaus, Severiano Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Ian Woosnam, Jose Maria Olazabal and Sir Nick Faldo have spent unforgettable hours at this club. Film stars such as Dennis Hopper also made their rounds in this traditional club. What many players may not know is that guests and green fee players are very welcome at this club.
This club can actually be compared to an old venerable English club. Don’t be fooled by the first impression of the slight “reserve” of the club members, because on closer inspection, the natural Viennese charm is immediately recognizable, which then quickly shows itself in the Viennese humor and happy laughter.
