The park located in Vienna’s 3rd district Landstrasse is named after the renowned pianist Friedrich Gulda and is referred to as the Friedrich-Gulda-Park.
The park was named on October 7, 2008, and its official opening was celebrated with a festival on September 8, 2011.The public park is situated in a residential locality and features a unique 50-meter-long concrete piano keyboard on the ground, which has been artistically designed by Gustav Peichl.Since 2011, a bronze sculpture in the shape of a reclining head created by the South Tyrolean artist Lois Anvidalfarei has been erected to honor the eponymous figure of the park.
A passage has been constructed on the west side during the development process, which provides access to the inner courtyard of the property located at Ungargasse 27.
