Forsthauspark is a 13,300 m2 park in Vienna’s 20th district Brigittenau, between Forsthausgasse and Lorenz-Böhler-Gasse.
It is named after the forester’s home in Brigitta Au (which inspired the subsequent area). It was created to preserve the Brigitta Chapel, which was dedicated in 1651 and is located in the park.At the time, the whole territory of today’s 20th district was deserted floodplain and hunting grounds bordered by Danube arms.
The park is primarily a recreational facility for children and young people, with a volleyball court, basketball court, and skateboard facilities.
