DomQuartier Salzburg

The DomQuartier Salzburg is a museum complex in Salzburg that has been in operation since 2014.It is a conceptual fusion and presentation of structures, as well as secular and religious art collections, in the vicinity of the Salzburg Cathedral and Domplatz.

The exhibits from the Salzburg Baroque Museum, which had been absorbed into the Salzburg Museum when it closed in 2012, were integrated into the Domquartier, and the exhibits from St. Peter’s Abbey were displayed to the public for the first time.

Cathedral Museum – Church treasure from the cathedral and other churches of the archdiocese of Salzburg
Chamber of Art and Wonders – exhibits and curiosities from art and nature
Long Gallery – the former painting gallery of the prince-archbishops
St. Peter’s Museum – Treasures from the Archabbey of St. Peter, the oldest monastery in the German-speaking world

The museum space is approximately 15,000 m2, with around 2000 exhibits.
