The Holy Redeemer branch church, located at Brunner Strasse 5-7 in Wiener Neustadt, is a Roman Catholic church in the provost’s parish of the cathedral.
A former shoe factory hall, erected in 1919, was turned into a chapel between 1931 and 1932, according to the architect Clemens Holzmeister’s plans. The flat, long rectangular building features a brick masonry front with pilaster strips and eaves.A rectangular blind gable in the roof region is perforated for a bell and crowned by a simple cross. The space of the presbytery in the flat-roofed hall is slightly elevated and separated from the community room by wooden fittings on the side.Originally on the east wall was a crucifix by sculptor Anton Hanak, which was replaced after the war by a sculpture by Johann Coleselli.Hans Andre, a sculptor, created a modern Madonna figure. The reverse glass painting of the Stations of the Cross was produced by painter Thiem-Samassa.The organ by Friedrich Heftner, built in 1992, has ten registers.
