- Catholic Church Schüttdorf
The Zell district of Schüttdorf experienced significant growth as a residential area during the 1950s and 1960s of the 20th century. It was soon recognized that there was a need to create a separate parish center.
The construction of the church began in 1964. The consecration of the new church took place in 1967. The interior of the modern church is characterized by several features. These include a spacious chancel with a striking bronze tabernacle, four intricately carved wooden reliefs, and a prominent display of crosses.
The statue of the Virgin Mary, known as “Maria am Weg,” can be found in the Marienkapelle. The parish church is dedicated to St. Pope Pius X, who is the patron saint.
