Café Imperial Wien

The traditional Viennese café, Café Central, has been located in Palais Ferstel since 1896 and was a meeting place for poets, thinkers and revolutionaries of old Vienna for decades. Sigmund Freud, Stefan Zweig, Leon Trotsky were often guests in what was then the Literature Café. The pillars and the richly decorated vaulted ceiling inside give the coffee house a unique atmosphere. In summer, you can sit in the small garden in front of the café. Café Central is one of the most popular coffee houses in the city.

The day begins with an imperial breakfast buffet at the legendary Café Imperial Vienna. Viennese specialties, delicacies and, of course, various coffee delicacies, such as a Viennese Mélange (coffee and milk mixture), a Pharisee (the Austrian answer to Irish coffee) and Maria Theresa (mocha spiced up with orange liqueur and whipped cream) as well as the in-house Imperial Torte, invite you to enjoy it from noon to dinner. At Café Imperial Vienna, the guest is really king and individual special requests are gladly fulfilled as a matter of course.
