Bertha Neumann Park is a park in Liesing, Vienna’s 23rd district.

Bertha-Neumann-Park is an 800 m 2 Beserlpark in Liesing.The Linke Wasserzeile is located between Rudolf-Waisenhorn-Gasse and Breitenfurter Straße.It provides seats with a view of the Liesinger Aqueduct, which is part of the first Viennese high spring water pipeline.

Bertha Neumann Park was named in honor of Dr. Bertha Neumann, née Kunreuther (1893-1944).She was among the first Austrians to receive a PhD in political science.Bertha Neumann was married to Dr. Karl Neumann of the Liesinger community.Both were killed by the Nazis at the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944, along with their son.On the proposal of the Greens, the Liesinger parliamentary groups represented the Greens, Social Democratic Party, Austrian People’s Party, and parliamentary group PRO 23 in the application to designate the area indicated above in Bertha-Neumann-Park on June 29, 2017.The accompanying proposals were accepted by the City of Vienna’s Municipal Council Committee for Culture, Science, and Sport on November 6, 2017.
