It can also be reached via the ski runs or hiking trails “H1 Hohe and H2 Kleine Scharte”, “H3 Hamburger” or “H4 Haitzing”.

You can access Aeroplanstadl by foot, by ski, or by cable car. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the mid-station, or about 1.5 hours from the valley station. If you prefer to ski, you can enjoy the scenic slopes that lead to the inn. If you want to take the cable car, you can use the Schlossalmbahn, which operates from December to April. The cable car also offers a panoramic view of the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Winter Activities and Attractions

Aeroplanstadl is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders, as it offers a variety of slopes for different levels of difficulty and experience. You can choose from the “Hohe und Kleine Scharte”, which are challenging runs for advanced skiers, the “Hamburger”, which is a moderate run for intermediate skiers, or the “Aeroplanwiese”, which is a gentle run for beginners and families. The ski area is also connected to the Ski Amadé network, which gives you access to more than 760 kilometers of ski runs in the region.

If you are looking for some après-ski fun, you can head to the Aeroplanstadl disco, which is open from 3 pm to 8 pm every day. There, you can enjoy some music, drinks, and snacks, and mingle with other guests and locals. The disco also has a service area, where you can order from the menu or get some refreshments.

Another attraction that Aeroplanstadl offers is the natural snow toboggan run, which is illuminated at night. You can rent a toboggan at the inn and slide down the 1.5-kilometer-long track, which is suitable for all ages. The toboggan run is open from 10 am to 8 pm every day, and costs 5 euros per person.
