Close to the border with Burgenland, Hartberg is an eastern town in Styria. The territory is 21.53 square kilometers and rises 359 meters above sea level. Hartberg consists in four legal towns. These are Ring, Safenau, Hartberg, Habersdorf. A branch of the Lafnitz River, the Hartberger Bach forms the core of the city.
