The restaurant’s association with Toplitzsee fishing and boat hire reinforces the same relationship.

A full outing can take much longer than the 1.7-kilometre walk suggests. Time is needed for the approach, the meal, possible waiting for a Plätte, the short walk toward Kammersee and the return sequence. Families and photographers often move more slowly, while poor weather can also reduce pace. Allowing a generous half-day or more produces a better experience than treating the restaurant as a quick roadside lunch that happens to sit beside a lake.
