How To Get In Flachau
Get In - By Plane
Only 70 kilometers separate Salzburg Airport, the closest airport to Flachau. With flights from several European destinations like London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and more, Salzburg Airport is the biggest regional airport in Austria. About 200 kilometers distant and with better international connections, Munich Airport is another option.
Either arrange for a private taxi transport to Flachau or take a reasonably priced shared cab transfer from Salzburg Airport. It is also possible to take a bus from the airport to Salzburg main station and then a rail to Radstadt, which is 12 kilometers from Flachau. One may go to Flachau via bus or cab from Radstadt.
To reach Salzburg main station from Munich Airport, board a train and then proceed as previously described. An other option is to arrange for a shuttle service to transport you straight to Flachau from the terminal.

Being located right on the A10 Tauern motorway (exit 66), Flachau is conveniently accessible by automobile. Flachau is reachable from the following directions:

- From Zell am See: Take the B311 federal road to St. Johann im Pongau. Then take the B163 to Wagrain.

By train, Flachau is quickly and comfortably reachable without any traffic congestion. Twelve kilometres from Flachau lies Radstadt, home of the closest express rail station. Everyday, there are five direct train connections from Salzburg main station, two of which are from Munich main station. One may take a public bus or a cab straight to Flachau from Radstadt. Still, you can have a lengthier trip to your lodging as the bus only stops.
