Situated about 70 kilometers south of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, Flachau is part of the Salzburger Land area. A section of the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, Flachau connects to Wagrain, St. Johann, and other Pongau villages. One of the biggest and most varied ski areas in Austria, Snow Space Salzburg has 210 kilometers of slopes, 69 modern cable cars, and ten ski area gates.

- Schloss Höch: The Salzburg archbishop used to reside at this 13th-century fortress. Nowadays, it functions as a year-round cultural hub with exhibitions, concerts, seminars, and events.The castle has exquisite gardens, historic architecture, and breath-taking Alps vistas.
- Pfarre Flachau: Built in the Baroque style in the eighteenth century, Pfarre Flachau is the parish church of Flachau. The church has a priceless organ, an exquisitely painted interior, and an onion-shaped dome.Great ski jumper Anton Innauer, who took gold in the 1980 Winter Olympics, is also buried in the cathedral.
- Badesee Flachauwinkl: In summer, this natural lake is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation. The sandy beach of the lake has a playground, volleyball court, and snack bar. The water temperature is about 23°C.Encircling the lake and linking to the nearby Kleinarl valley is a lovely hiking track.
- Rodelbahn Lucky Flitzer: This year-round, exciting toboggan hill is open. A 1,100-meter elevation reached by the toboggan lift offers expansive views of the mountains and valley. After then, mount your toboggan and descend the 1.1-kilometer course at up to 40 km/h.The thrill of the circuit is increased by the bends, leaps, and tunnels.
- Amusement park Lucky Flitzer: New amusement park Lucky Flitzer offers a variety of sports, entertainment, and recreational options for both adults and kids. Among the other activities are the giant slide, go-karts, bumper boats, mini golf, climbing wall, and bungee trampoline.Open May through October, the amusement park is next to the toboggan slide.
