Nestled in the easternmost region of the Austrian state of Tyrol, Fieberbrunn is surrounded by the Alps. It is situated in the Pillersee Valley, so called because of the lake that is fed by streams from the neighboring mountains.Within its 80.9 square kilometer total area, 48.6% is wooded, 28.8% is alpine, and 14.5% is agricultural.

Perched 790 meters above sea level, Fieberbrunn is encircled by the Loferer Steinberge and the Kitzbühel Alps. Wildseeloder, a mountain rising to 2,118 meters with a little lake at its summit, is the town’s highest point. At 834 meters, the Pillersee, with its 2.3 square kilometer surface area, is the lowest point.
The municipalities of Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, and Waidring in the Pillersee Valley, as well as Leogang and Saalfelden in the nearby state of Salzburg, abut Fieberbrunn.Fieberbrunn lies roughly 100 kilometers from the state capital of Innsbruck and 20 kilometers from the district capital of Kitzbühel.
