Weingut und Heuriger The Lichtscheidl family has been managing the winery and Heuriger for many years. Their ancestors had a multifarious agricultural business for many years in St. Georgen, an Eisenstadt neighborhood on the southern slope of the Leithagebirge with a view of Lake Neusiedl. This is also the origin of the appellation of their wine-growing region. These days, they cultivate about 20 hectares of grapes on mild sandy soils. The grapes grown in the Pannonian sun are vinified to a magnificent sweet 10% and a dry 90%. In the winegrowing village of Kleinhöflein, on the southeast slope of the Leitha Mountains, is the winery Weinbau Familie Hebenstreit, which grows around 4 hectares of grapes. Weingut Kaiser Magdalenenhof is a 1992-founded family-run winery. It’s in Kleinhöflein, an area of Eisenstadt renowned for its charming vineyards and old mansions. A range of grapes, including Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller, and Merlot, are grown on the winery’s about 5-hectare cultivated area. In addition, the winery crafts a few unique wines, Eiswein, Trockenbeerenauslese, and Strohwein, all of which are produced from frozen, dried, or strawed grapes.

Weinbau Kollerhaus
An other family-run winery in Kleinhöflein, Eisenstadt, is Weinbau Kollerhaus. Johann and Maria Koller launched it in 1989 with a little vineyard and a cellar as their first venture. The winery now has 12 hectares of vineyards where it cultivates Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Blauer Portugieser, and Grüner Veltliner. Wines produced by the estate include full-bodied, peppery reds and dry, fruity whites. The vineyard also produces certain sparkling wines, ideal for commemorating important events, such Frizzante and Sekt.
