Adamstal Franz Wittmann Golf Club
Nestled in the Lower Austrian Alps, The Golfclub Adamstal is renowned for its exquisite architecture and careful maintenance. Selecting from the 18-hole “Championship Course” or the 9-hole “Course Wallerbach,” each provides a unique experience, is up to members and visitors. Jeff Howes’ course, which captures the splendor of the Alps’ foothills, skillfully incorporates natural features such streams, woods, and rock formations into the environment. Over the years, the club has won several awards, including six times as Austria’s golf course of the year and recurrent mention as one of the best courses in Europe. Adamstal Golf Course has been recognized as one of the top golfing locations continuously since 2002.
Two courses are offered by the Adamstal Golf Club: the 9-hole Wallerbach Course and the 18-hole Championship Course. Famous Irish architect Jeff Howes, who has built some of the most well-known golf courses in Europe, constructed both courses.
From the back tees, the Championship Course is 6,050 metres long and a par-71 course. It is an Alps natural landscape-blending golf design masterwork. Each of the many holes on the course has a unique personality and level of difficulty. Navigating the usually beautiful fairways and greens will take you past streams, stairs, clearings, and rocks. A visual and aural feast, the course also offers some breathtaking vistas of the neighboring mountains and valleys.
About the Course The 3,050 meter Wallerbach course is a par-36 layout from the back tees. For players at the beginning and intermediate levels, this shorter but no less entertaining course is perfect. The nine holes on the course are all unique in both challenge and appeal. Because the course traces the Wallerbach stream, some of the holes include a water hazard. A fun and interesting course to play, it also has various elevation variations, bunkers, and trees.
Golfclub Schloss Ebreichsdorf
In Ebreichsdorf, Austria, lies the golf club Golfclub Schloss Ebreichsdorf. Keith Preston developed it and it was founded in 1988. Situated in the center of a park-like meadow that was once a part of the palace’s original park, the club boasts an 18-hole course. Enzesfeld Golf Club

Fontana Golf-Club
Near Vienna, Austria, Doug Carrick and Hans Erhardt created the renowned Fontana Golf Club in 1996.Several times the Austrian Open has been held on the course, which is a part of an opulent residential complex.
Former Magna Europe CEO Sigfried Wolf purchased the course in 2014, and Carrick was brought in to redesign and improve it over a five-year period.All of the tees, greens, and bunkers on the course were rebuilt, and four and a half completely new holes were created. One hole was reversed. The redesign’s goals were to make Fontana more playable and challenging, to regain its standing as one of Austria’s best courses, and to provide room for future residential development on part of the property.
Completed in 2020, the new course has a longer championship yardage, better irrigation and drainage, and a more dramatic and natural character. Particularly the last three holes have been greatly improved; the finale is now more risky and rewarding due to changes in elevation and water.
