The Austrian Alps’ Bad Hofgastein is a spa town well-known for its ski resorts and thermal springs. It does, however, also boast a vibrant nighttime scene with a range of pubs, clubs, and bars to suit all moods and preferences.

  • City Beats: City Beats is a well-liked club with three sections and three musical styles housed in the old Sternbräu building. You may dance all night long, meet new people, and take in the city’s old wall. The club is open 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.
  • Sternbrau: With roots in 1542, this is Salzburg’s largest and most historic beer inn. There are eleven halls and parlours in all, each with a special fusion of modernism and history. You may try the modernized version of the traditional food, the Austrian wine, and the home-brewed unfiltered beer. Everyday hours for the inn are 9 a.m. to midnight.
  • Silver Bullet Bar: A playground, a mini-golf course, a climbing wall, a sunny patio, and a friendly bar are all features of Silver Bullet Bar in Bad Gastein. Drinks abound, as do crunchy burgers and delicious ice cream. Friday and Saturday evenings at the pub include a disco. Open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day save Wednesday.
  • Norica Bar: Every night there is a different musical act, ranging from oompah to rock ‘n’ roll, at this popular nightclub within the Hotel Norica. Sit back in the lobby, strike up a conversation with the locals, and have a drink or beer. Everyday hours for the bar are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Ice Cube: Nestled within the Hotel Elisabethpark, this hip and fashionable bar exudes sophistication and coolness. Chill-out music is played as you enjoy a smoothie, martini, or bottle of champagne. Daily hours of the bar are 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Bunny-Bar: This vibrant and entertaining bar in the Hotel Alpenblick features a karaoke machine and décor with bunnies. You may play darts, sing along to your favorite tunes, or watch sports on the large screen. Everyday hours for the bar are 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Piccolo Cafe Pub: Situated in the heart of Bad Hofgastein, Piccolo Cafe Pub is a quaint and comfortable establishment complete with a library and fireplace. A snack, a beer, or a coffee can be had while reading a newspaper or book. Everyday hours for the pub are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Casino Bad Gastein: Housed at the Grand Hotel de l’Europe, this glitzy and thrilling casino offers a range of games including slot machines, blackjack, roulette, and poker. You may watch the action, have a drink at the bar, or try your luck. Sunday through Thursday: 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.; Friday and Saturday: 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.
