Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon is a mountain restaurant in Grandvalira’s Soldeu sector, near the Golf Soldeu Club House at about 2,250 metres above sea level. Its bistronomic menu pairs premium charcuterie, Josper-grilled meat and vegetables with wines from the Jean Leon winery in Penedès. The resort operator describes the setting as a warm, functional dining room in winter and a high-altitude terrace destination in summer, with views across the golf course and surrounding alpine landscape.

This is not a roadside restaurant in Soldeu village. Grandvalira says visitors can reach it on foot from the Soldeu gondola with a ski pass or by skiing in winter. During summer, the restaurant is beside the golf club house and operates alongside mountain activities. Check the resort map and the relevant gondola or route schedule before setting off; the restaurant’s hours do not guarantee that the access lift is operating. The resort lists +376 890 733 and comercialrestaurants@soldeu.ad for booking questions.

Meat and wine are at the heart of the concept. The current Grandvalira page describes grilling over the Josper charcoal oven and lists premium beef from Txogitxu, Wagyu veal and organic veal from Cal Tomàs, alongside Joselito Iberian pork. Seasonal suggestions and grilled vegetables round out the hot menu. A separate area offers premium charcuterie, giving diners a way to start with cured meats and build a longer meal around a grill selection and wine pairing.

The wine selection focuses on Jean Leon’s Penedès wines, including special vintages and labels described by the winery as experiential wines. The restaurant’s name reflects that pairing rather than a generic bar service: wine is intended to accompany the charcuterie and grilled dishes. Ask staff about current bottles, tasting options and pairing availability, as the operator does not publish a detailed wine list in the venue overview. If ordering premium cuts, confirm portion size and price before placing the order.

Season affects both the menu and how visitors arrive. Grandvalira lists the restaurant as operating in winter and summer. The summer information gives a daily window of 12:00–16:00 and dates from 20 June to 27 September; the separate cafeteria is listed from 10:00–17:30, with longer hours from 27 July to 30 August. These are not interchangeable schedules: the café offers coffee, cold drinks, snacks and ice cream, while the restaurant is the meal service. On 23 September 2026, the published summer window is nearing its listed end date.

The winter access is connected to ski infrastructure, while the summer setting is tied to the golf course and mountain activities. Grandvalira’s page does not set out a distinct winter restaurant timetable or future seasonal opening dates, even though it lists winter operation. Tripadvisor and RestaurantGuru provide shorter daily lunch windows around noon to 15:30 or 16:00, but those profiles may not cover special evening events or winter dinners. Confirm the current service period directly before planning either lunch or a special evening visit.

The restaurant page lists a terrace, toilets and Wi-Fi. The terrace is particularly relevant in summer, when the nearby golf course gives the meal a different backdrop from the winter slopes. The available information does not detail wheelchair access, indoor seating capacity, children’s facilities or weather contingency for terrace bookings. Ask the restaurant if you need a specific access arrangement or if outdoor seating is important. At this elevation, wind and changing mountain weather can make terrace conditions different from those in the village.

The food and wine offer is suited to a slower, planned meal rather than a quick self-service stop. Bookings are available through Grandvalira, and the resort provides a direct phone and email. The operator does not publish a full current menu text or prices on the general page, although its menu link leads to the live offer. Check that menu close to your date for available cuts, sides, seasonal dishes and prices. Tell staff about allergies and dietary restrictions; the page’s grilled-vegetable option does not establish a separate vegetarian preparation area.

The restaurant shares the Soldeu mountain environment with other Grandvalira food venues, but it is separate from self-service La Cabana at Espiolets and from cafés at the gondola base. Do not use another restaurant’s hours or lift access information for this address. A valid ski pass is specifically required for the foot approach from the gondola. If you are not skiing, verify the summer or winter pedestrian route and any transport arrangements before booking, and allow time to return to the village before the last lift.

Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon suits visitors who want a sit-down grill and wine experience integrated into a day in the Soldeu mountains. Its signature combination is premium meat, Josper grilling, high-quality charcuterie and Penedès wines, with seasonal menus in winter and summer. Confirm the date-specific restaurant schedule separately from the summer cafeteria hours, book ahead and check access, current prices and menu availability with Grandvalira. The listed summer season runs through 27 September 2026; the next seasonal schedule should be checked directly.
