Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos is a three-star accommodation complex on Avinguda de les Escoles in central Escaldes-Engordany. It brings together a hotel and an aparthotel in two buildings, close to the Carmen Thyssen Andorra museum and the Vivand shopping street. The operator places the property about 100 metres from the museum and main Escaldes shopping area, around 300 metres from Illa Carlemany and within walking distance of Andorra la Vella’s connected shopping district. This central position suits visitors who want shops, restaurants and city services nearby rather than a secluded mountain setting.

The accommodation mix is broader than a conventional hotel room block. The operator offers hotel rooms as well as refurbished self-catering apartments, with apartment capacity listed up to eight people. Some units have kitchens, making them useful for families or longer stays that benefit from meal flexibility. Because the complex spans two buildings and room categories differ, confirm whether a reservation is for a standard hotel room or an apartment, which building houses it, the bed layout, and whether cooking facilities are included. Do not infer an apartment kitchen from the word “aparthotel” when comparing a particular room rate.

Cosmos offers a buffet restaurant and Odetti Bistro, which the operator describes as a gastronomic à-la-carte venue. The current FAQ says the buffet restaurant is open throughout the year, seven days a week, for dinner from 20:00 to 22:30, and specifies that it is for hotel residents. The FAQ lists breakfast daily from 07:30 to 10:30. An older in-room service directory gives a seasonal split instead: breakfast from 07:30 to 10:30 during ski season and 08:00 to 11:00 for the rest of the year. Since these schedules conflict, check the timetable for the stay directly with reception. The FAQ also says the buffet may not provide lunch boxes, so arrange an early departure meal in advance.

The operator distinguishes the hotel’s food offerings from the thermal pool nearby. Cosmos does not have its own swimming pool. Guests may receive a 50 percent discount for the outdoor Muntanya thermal pool, located about 600 metres away, by requesting a discount ticket from reception; entry remains paid, and the pool is not part of the hotel building. The operator also advertises optional promotions for spa access and meals at sister property Hotel Spa Termes Carlemany. These are separately priced offers and should not be described as on-site facilities or assumed to be included with accommodation.

The hotel has a dedicated bicycle corner with storage, video surveillance, bike washing and a small repair/workshop area according to its current site. This makes the central location practical for road cyclists and mountain-bike visitors, while still leaving route planning, equipment and weather to the traveller. Ski storage is also listed among the services. Confirm storage availability and any access rules before bringing valuable equipment, particularly for group bookings or peak travel dates.

Parking is private, indoor and paid. The current Catalan-language operator page lists 43 car spaces at €18 per day and six motorcycle places at €9 per day or stay, and says spaces are assigned in order of arrivals rather than guaranteed merely by asking during a reservation. Electric-vehicle charging points are also noted. These are date-sensitive rates and availability terms; verify the current price, vehicle size restrictions, charger compatibility and whether a place can be secured for the full stay. The central address can make a car unnecessary for many city visits, but visitors driving into Andorra should settle parking before arrival.

The operator lists 24-hour reception, a self-check-in kiosk, luggage storage, laundry, Wi-Fi, ski storage and group facilities. Its main FAQ notes free luggage storage before check-in and after checkout. A separate 2023 directory states bar/cafeteria hours of 12:00 to 22:00, but the current FAQ does not confirm that schedule, so treat it as historical and ask about present operation. Groups can use a buffet restaurant and meeting/event facilities, but group meal access and event space are distinct from ordinary individual-reservation services.

Cosmos is a practical choice for shopping, business and family trips that benefit from a central address. Walkable visits include Vivand, the Thyssen museum and the Illa Carlemany shopping centre; Caldea and the wider commercial mile are also nearby, though exact walking time depends on the route and entrance. The property can host groups and sports teams, but guests should identify the correct building and room type when arranging arrival. If travelling by bus, the operator recommends reaching the central bus station and continuing by taxi or on foot; allow time for luggage and uphill sections.

Before booking, compare the standard hotel and apartment options, confirm the breakfast timetable, check whether the buffet is available to non-residents (the FAQ says residents only), and request parking only if needed. Confirm the separate location and price of any thermal pool or spa promotion. With those distinctions clear, Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos offers central Escaldes access, varied accommodation formats and useful indoor parking and cycling services without misrepresenting nearby amenities as being inside the hotel.
