Acta Arthotel is a four-star hotel on Carrer Prat de la Creu in central Andorra la Vella, close to the Valira river and within walking distance of the city’s shopping streets and civic centre. The hotel combines guest rooms and suites with the Aquarella Spa, an equipped gym, bicycle facilities and three food-and-drink spaces. Its location is practical for visitors who want to walk around the capital rather than stay beside a ski lift: Andorra’s mountain resorts require a separate drive or transfer, while shops, restaurants and the old town are much closer. The building also contains public parking, offered to hotel guests at a special rate rather than as free on-site parking.

The hotel offers double rooms, double rooms for single use and rooms with mountain views, alongside additional room types shown in its booking inventory. Guests should compare the selected category for bed configuration, outlook and bathroom layout rather than assume all rooms share the same view. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and guests obtain the access details from reception. The hotel advertises dogs up to 30 kg, with a maximum of two per room and a €16 daily supplement; the hotel asks guests to notify it before arrival. These terms are more specific than a general “pet friendly” label, so travellers should confirm acceptance for the exact room and dates.

Aquarella Spa occupies approximately 300 square metres on the hotel’s second floor. Facilities include a Finnish sauna, large jacuzzi, ice fountain, experience showers, heated relaxation loungers and a small water area with massage jets and chromotherapy. The published schedule is split: 10:00–13:00 and 16:00–21:00, with children aged four to 16 admitted only in the morning and accompanied by an adult. The maximum visit is two hours. Massage and body treatments require advance booking. The published tariff is €12.54 for adults, €9.50 for ages 12–16 and free for children aged four to 11, but prices can change; confirm current entry, age rules and availability at reception before planning a visit.

The gym is a separate facility from the spa and is advertised as available to hotel guests free of charge 24 hours a day. This allows early or late exercise without depending on spa opening windows. Cyclists have a dedicated storage area with video surveillance and a mechanical workshop, useful for visitors arriving with road or mountain bikes. The hotel’s location also allows guests to walk to central services after storing their equipment. The public garage in the same building is not the same thing as a guaranteed included hotel space: the operator says it offers guests a special price, so ask about the current rate and access route when booking.

Breakfast is served in Gallery Restaurant on the fifth floor from 07:30 to 10:30. The operator describes a wide selection and a live-cooking station for tortillas, eggs and bacon. Breakfast is separate from the hotel’s other dining venues and may be an additional charge depending on the rate. Plató Restaurant is the hotel’s main à-la-carte restaurant, beside the river, and the operator describes its approach as market cuisine combining innovation with regional roots. Its service timetable is shown in the hotel’s restaurant information and should be confirmed for a specific date. Plató & Có is the bar-café for cocktails, snacks and informal meetings; it is listed as open Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 08:00 to 01:00.

The three venues have different purposes: Gallery provides the morning hotel breakfast, Plató is the restaurant for a full meal, and Plató & Có is the casual bar and snack space. Do not assume their service hours overlap. The operator’s public restaurant page currently gives a clear weekly schedule for Plató & Có but no complete dining timetable for every service at Plató Restaurant. If dinner is important to the plan, check the restaurant’s reservation availability rather than relying on the bar schedule. Events and meetings also take place at the hotel, so some spaces may be reserved for functions on particular dates.

For visitors exploring on foot, the hotel’s central position makes it a useful base for the river path, shopping areas and city sights. Google’s hotel listing places Parc Central a short walk away and identifies the river corridor and historic sites nearby. The capital is also a convenient starting point for onward excursions, but the hotel is not itself a ski resort or lift station. Visitors travelling to Grandvalira, Pal-Arinsal or other mountain areas should arrange a car, taxi or scheduled transfer and check winter road conditions. The hotel’s bike facilities support an active trip, but trail access still depends on the chosen route and seasonal conditions beyond the city.

Acta Arthotel suits travellers who want an urban hotel with an on-site spa, gym, breakfast and multiple dining options, particularly those planning shopping, business meetings or a city-centre stay. It is less suited to a visitor seeking a ski-in/ski-out base or free guaranteed parking. Before booking, compare room categories, check breakfast inclusion, confirm spa availability and treatment reservations, and ask about parking and pet terms. The split spa schedule is important for families: children can use the spa only in the morning, while adults have both the morning and afternoon-evening windows. With those details settled, the hotel combines a central address with enough wellness and cycling facilities to support a longer Andorra stay without blurring the difference between the capital and the mountains.
