Ortodox Church Of St. Pavel And St. Ast

Ortodox Church Of Saint Pavel And Saint Ast Durres rises in front of the place where the church of St. Spiridhon was (destroyed in 1967) and the metropolitan headquarters (now ruined).

The church is of the basilica type with domes, two floors and with the eaters around. The whole church was built of concrete-weapons and stone-clad. It has an area of 606m2 and a volume of 6800m3. The largest height of the dome is 17.75m, while the tower height is 19m.

From the outside, the church is dressed in white stones (taken in Aranitas of Ballsh), decorative bricks in the seams, frame and window. The roof is dressed in Byzantine tiles. From the inside, the church is decorated with artistic decorative clothing in capitals, bases, marble floors, columns and balcony.
