This is a monument dedicated to the Albanian people by Kuwait, a friend state that has invested in the country’s development since 1993. It was opened on May 30, 2016 by Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development General Director Abdulahab Al-Bader, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Albania, Fayez Mishari Al-Jassim.
It is designed to provide a soothing setting for visitors on hot summer days and features the Kuwaiti state’s flag colors to commemorate the two nations’ friendship and cooperation. It is located just across from the National Library.
