Himare Travel Guide

Himara is part of the Albanian Riviera and has the most magnificent beaches in the region: Spile and Marachi beach are near to Himare; Livadhi and Jali beach are close by and are gorgeous – particularly during the off-season when the beaches are deserted! Due to its isolation, the landscape around Himare remains mostly unspoiled. Himara is a famous vacation location and a relatively unexplored section of the Mediterranean due to its azure waves. Himara or Himarë is a Greek and Albanian-speaking town situated between the Ceraunian Mountains and the Ionian Sea. The area of Himara is dominated by a population of ethnic Greeks. In the heart of Himara, there are several classic Greek taverns and seafood restaurants, all of which provide delicious meals.
