Gallery 70

A modern art venue in the heart of Tirana. Gallery 70 includes a roster of young and renowned artists, with a concentration on work developed since the 1970s. Painting, sculpture, works on paper, installation, and photography are among the items on display.

Gallery70 offers a contemporary and worldwide exhibition program that combines a “brick and click” approach for solo and group shows with site-specific works.

Gallery70, launched in 2017, is creating a roster of established and new contemporary artists, focused on work made after the 70, and is situated in the centre of Tirana, next to the pedestrian area, important cultural institutions, and Skenderbeg plaza. Gallery70 aspires to be communicative, transnational, and interdisciplinary, building a network that promotes artist empowerment and international artist interaction.

Gallery70 is designed not just as a typical gallery where guests may discover the artist in a personal and intimate setting, but also as an art installation where a random passer-by can view the art displayed from the outside and recognize the whole gallery space as a single art project. Gallery 70 is therefore turned into a public communication place, making artists and contemporary artworks available to the public.
