Mount Honaz, known as Honaz Dağı in Turkish, is a magnificent mountain situated in the southwestern part of Turkey, around 17 kilometers east of the city of Denizli. Rising to a startling height of 2,571 meters (8,435 feet), it is Turkey’s highest mountain in the Aegean. Apart from a natural wonder, this amazing mountain has great historical and cultural value. Maintaining the natural beauty and biological integrity of the mountain depends on it, hence any forthcoming construction should be carefully considered to avoid disturbance of the delicate ecosystems of the park. Mount Honaz must remain a pure and protected place as tourism is growing constantly.
