Melania Trump, the First Lady of USA, is responsible for the increase in the number of tourists in Slovenia. It is expected that there will be more and more of them during her husband’s presidency.
Although Mrs. Trump rarely visits her hometown, which she left as a teenager, her hometown Sevnica has already seen an increase in the number of visitors. Some of the locals are successfully profiting from her newly gained fame.
A local bakery makes and sells white cookies with nuts called “Melania”, while a restaurant has named the trout dish after this former model Melania Trump.
It is said that tours will soon be offered that will take visitors along the streets of Melania Trump – from Sevnica via Ljubljana to Milan.
