Na rozd\u00edl od jin\u00fdch provinci\u00ed spravuje jakartsk\u00e1 vl\u00e1da p\u011bt kota (administrativn\u00edch m\u011bst) a jeden kabupaten (administrativn\u00ed regentstv\u00ed), zat\u00edmco souostrov\u00ed Tis\u00edc ostrov\u016f tvo\u0159\u00ed n\u00e1mo\u0159n\u00ed roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed regionu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hranice Jakarty jsou vymezeny jak provinci\u00e1ln\u00edmi hranicemi, tak i pohybliv\u00fdmi b\u0159ehy. Na jihu a v\u00fdchod\u011b le\u017e\u00ed Z\u00e1padn\u00ed J\u00e1va, zat\u00edmco Banten hrani\u010d\u00ed s jej\u00edm z\u00e1padn\u00edm svahem. Velk\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st severn\u00ed Jakarty le\u017e\u00ed v nulov\u00e9 nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ce nebo pod n\u00ed, historicky p\u0159eru\u0161ovan\u00e1 rozs\u00e1hl\u00fdmi ba\u017einami. Dopl\u0148kov\u00e9 projekty zahrnuj\u00ed podzemn\u00ed tunely spojuj\u00edc\u00ed kan\u00e1ly Ciliwung a East Flood, nov\u00e9 p\u0159ehrady proti proudu v Ciawi (Bogor) a \u0159\u00edzen\u00e9 reten\u010dn\u00ed n\u00e1dr\u017ee. Toto megam\u011bsto se s p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 32,6 miliony obyvatel (v roce 2022) \u0159ad\u00ed mezi druh\u00e9 nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed m\u011bstsk\u00e9 oblasti na sv\u011bt\u011b po Tokiu. Hustota obyvatelstva v centr\u00e1ln\u00edch okresech p\u0159esahuje osm tis\u00edc osob na kilometr \u010dtvere\u010dn\u00ed a sm\u011brem k p\u0159edm\u011bstsk\u00fdm oblastem se zten\u010duje jen postupn\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakarta je zt\u011blesn\u011bn\u00edm etnick\u00e9 mozaiky Indon\u00e9sie. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00e1 skupina si nen\u00e1rokuje v\u011bt\u0161inu. Migranti z cel\u00e9ho souostrov\u00ed p\u0159ij\u00ed\u017ed\u011bj\u00ed hledat pr\u00e1ci, vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed a p\u0159\u00edslib lep\u0161\u00ed \u017eivotn\u00ed \u00farovn\u011b. Tato demografick\u00e1 dynamika ud\u011blala z Jakarty m\u00edsto, kde se zkou\u0161\u00ed indon\u00e9sk\u00fd slang, kuchyn\u011b a zvyky. Betawi Malay, s p\u0159\u00edchut\u00ed nizozemsk\u00fdch, portugalsk\u00fdch, sundansk\u00fdch a hokkiensk\u00fdch p\u0159ejat\u00fdch slov, tvo\u0159\u00ed m\u011bstsk\u00fd dialekt \u2013 p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161en\u00fd hudbou, pouli\u010dn\u00edmi prodejci a popul\u00e1rn\u00edmi m\u00e9dii \u2013 kter\u00fd rezonuje daleko za hranicemi Jakarty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakartsk\u00e1 ekonomika je po Singapuru nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed v r\u00e1mci ASEAN a z\u00e1rove\u0148 kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00fdm centrem indon\u00e9sk\u00e9ho HDP. V roce 2023 se HDP m\u011b\u0159en\u00fd paritou kupn\u00ed s\u00edly p\u0159ibl\u00ed\u017eil 724 miliard\u00e1m USD.
