S populac\u00ed 1 527 v roce 2020 a rozlohou 62,2 kilometr\u016f \u010dtvere\u010dn\u00edch le\u017e\u00ed asi 28 kilometr\u016f ji\u017en\u011b od Altdorfu, kanton\u00e1ln\u00edho hlavn\u00edho m\u011bsta Uri, a kotv\u00ed u pramen\u016f \u0159eky Reuss v \u00fadol\u00ed Urseren.<\/p>\n<p>Andermatt, obklopen\u00fd vrcholky Adulsk\u00fdch Alp, p\u0159edstavuje krajinnou tabuli alpsk\u00e9ho ter\u00e9nu, v n\u00ed\u017e 40,8 procenta jeho p\u016fdy slou\u017e\u00ed zem\u011bd\u011blsk\u00fdm \u00fa\u010del\u016fm a 5,5 procenta z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 pokryto lesem, zat\u00edmco 52 procent je neproduktivn\u00edch a je definov\u00e1no \u0159ekami, ledovci a strm\u00fdmi svahy. Toto slo\u017een\u00ed, zm\u011b\u0159en\u00e9 v pr\u016fzkumu z roku 2006, odr\u00e1\u017e\u00ed \u00fadol\u00ed formovan\u00e9 ledovcovou \u010dinnost\u00ed a stalet\u00edmi pastvinov\u00e9ho vyu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed, kde alpsk\u00e9 louky ustupuj\u00ed skaln\u00edm v\u00fdchozem, kter\u00e9 jsou pro vegetaci p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 drsn\u00e9, a \u00fazk\u00e9 koridory vedou \u0159eku Reuss sm\u011brem k sout\u011bsce Sch\u00f6llenen, strm\u00e9mu svahu spojuj\u00edc\u00edmu vesnici s G\u00f6schenenem a nakonec s Urnersee u Lucernsk\u00e9ho jezera.<\/p>\n<p>Od sv\u00e9ho vzniku jako koridoru spojuj\u00edc\u00edho v\u00fdchodn\u00ed kantony, jako je Graub\u00fcnden (p\u0159es pr\u016fsmyk Oberalp v nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ce 2 044 metr\u016f), a z\u00e1padn\u00ed regiony v\u010detn\u011b Valais (p\u0159es pr\u016fsmyk Furka v nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ce 2 436 metr\u016f), a\u017e po svou roli p\u0159i propojen\u00ed Ticina p\u0159es pr\u016fsmyk St. Gotthard v nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ce 2 106 metr\u016f, si Andermatt udr\u017eel svou funkci k\u0159i\u017eovatky cest od po\u010d\u00e1tku t\u0159in\u00e1ct\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, kdy otev\u0159en\u00ed horsk\u00e9 stezky Sch\u00f6llenen formalizovalo spojen\u00ed s Gotthardem; tyto horsk\u00e9 pr\u016fsmyky \u2013 spolu s impozantn\u00ed sout\u011bskou Sch\u00f6llenen nesouc\u00ed \u010e\u00e1bl\u016fv most \u2013 r\u00e1movaly vesnici jako pr\u016fjezdn\u00ed bod i str\u00e1\u017ece alpsk\u00e9 dopravy.<\/p>\n<p>Archeologick\u00e9 d\u016fkazy nazna\u010duj\u00ed lidskou p\u0159\u00edtomnost v \u00fadol\u00ed Urseren ji\u017e v roce 4000 p\u0159. n. l., p\u0159i\u010dem\u017e neolitick\u00e9 artefakty sv\u011bd\u010d\u00ed o os\u00eddlen\u00ed lovc\u016f a sb\u011bra\u010d\u016f; b\u011bhem \u0159\u00edmsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy se v tomto vysokohorsk\u00e9m \u00fadol\u00ed pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b nach\u00e1zely helv\u00e9tsk\u00e9 keltsk\u00e9 kmeny, a\u010dkoli z\u00e1klady dne\u0161n\u00edho Andermattu sahaj\u00ed a\u017e k alemansk\u00fdm walsersk\u00fdm migrant\u016fm, kte\u0159\u00ed p\u0159i hled\u00e1n\u00ed pastvin a \u00fato\u010di\u0161t\u011b ve vysok\u00fdch nadmo\u0159sk\u00fdch v\u00fd\u0161k\u00e1ch zakl\u00e1dali osady, kter\u00e9 se slou\u010dily kolem skromn\u00e9 \u200b\u200bfarnosti zm\u00edn\u011bn\u00e9 v roce 1203 jako \u201ede Prato\u201c a pozd\u011bji, v roce 1290, jako \u201eA der Matte\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00edstn\u00ed \u017eivot po stalet\u00ed \u0159\u00eddila p\u0159\u00edslu\u0161nost k benediktinsk\u00e9mu opatstv\u00ed Disentis; c\u00edrkevn\u00ed dohled p\u0159etrv\u00e1val a\u017e do roku 1649, kdy nov\u011b vznikaj\u00edc\u00ed \u0160v\u00fdcarsk\u00e1 konfederace p\u0159evedla duchovn\u00ed jurisdikci do civiln\u00edch rukou, co\u017e odr\u00e1\u017eelo \u0161ir\u0161\u00ed posuny ve \u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00e9 spr\u00e1v\u011b. Strategick\u00fd v\u00fdznam \u00fadol\u00ed v\u0161ak p\u0159esahoval c\u00edrkevn\u00ed z\u00e1le\u017eitosti: na den svat\u00e9ho Patrika roku 1608 \u00fadajn\u011b ir\u0161t\u00ed hrabata cestuj\u00edc\u00ed p\u0159es pr\u016fsmyk St. Gotthard ztratili u \u010e\u00e1blova mostu poklad zlata, co\u017e je ud\u00e1lost zv\u011b\u010dn\u011bn\u00e1 v m\u00edstn\u00edch tradic\u00edch jako Ztracen\u00fd poklad v pr\u016fsmyku St. Gotthard, a\u010dkoli k jeho nalezen\u00ed nebylo zaznamen\u00e1no.<\/p>\n<p>Topografie Sch\u00f6llenenu vyjad\u0159uje v\u00edce ne\u017e jen m\u00fdtus, nebo\u0165 v roce 1799 vedl rusk\u00fd gener\u00e1l Alexandr Suvorov vojska rokl\u00ed b\u011bhem sv\u00e9ho alpsk\u00e9ho ta\u017een\u00ed; pam\u011btn\u00ed pomn\u00edk pobl\u00ed\u017e Andermattu ct\u00ed tento nam\u00e1hav\u00fd p\u0159echod, jeho\u017e le\u0161t\u011bn\u00fd k\u00e1men je vytes\u00e1n na pam\u00e1tku voj\u00e1k\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed sn\u00e1\u0161eli \u00fatrapy hory. O dv\u011b desetilet\u00ed pozd\u011bji, v letech 1818 a\u017e 1831, se trasa St. Gotthard stala sch\u016fdnou pro cestu dostavn\u00edky; jako posledn\u00ed \u00fato\u010di\u0161t\u011b p\u0159ed vrcholem t\u011b\u017eil Andermatt z rozv\u00edjej\u00edc\u00ed se l\u00e1ze\u0148sk\u00e9 ekonomiky, kterou l\u00e1kaly term\u00e1ln\u00ed procedury a p\u0159\u00edslib zdrav\u00e9ho vzduchu.<\/p>\n<p>Slavnostn\u00ed otev\u0159en\u00ed \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00edho tunelu St. Gotthard v roce 1881 p\u0159esunulo dopravu pod \u00fadol\u00ed a pono\u0159ilo Andermatt jako\u017eto hlavn\u00ed alpsk\u00e9 dopravn\u00ed tepny. Stavba, kter\u00e1 si vy\u017e\u00e1dala \u017eivoty m\u00edstn\u00edch d\u011bln\u00edk\u016f a vyvolala nepokoje potla\u010den\u00e9 vojenskou intervenc\u00ed, zah\u00e1jila \u00e9ru, kdy vlaky obj\u00ed\u017ed\u011bly vesnici nad n\u00ed. Andermatt se v\u0161ak adaptoval: do roku 1885 jej \u0160v\u00fdcarsk\u00e1 feder\u00e1ln\u00ed arm\u00e1da ozna\u010dila za pos\u00e1dkov\u00e9 m\u011bsto, postavila podzemn\u00ed velitelsk\u00e1 za\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed navr\u017een\u00e1 pro odolnost ve v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00e9 dob\u011b a pozd\u011bji zde z\u0159\u00eddila v\u00fdcvikov\u00e9 st\u0159edisko, kter\u00e9 dodnes slou\u017e\u00ed jako m\u00edsto vojensk\u00e9 v\u00fduky.<\/p>\n<p>V roce 1946 pokro\u010dily pl\u00e1ny na p\u0159ehradu \u00fadol\u00ed Urseren pro vodn\u00ed n\u00e1dr\u017ee, co\u017e vyvolalo rozhoduj\u00edc\u00ed odpor, kter\u00fd do roku 1950 zastavil rozvoj v Andermattu a p\u0159esm\u011broval projekt do sousedn\u00edho G\u00f6schenertalu. Tato epizoda podtrhuje m\u00edstn\u00ed z\u00e1vazek k ochran\u011b krajiny, a to i v dob\u011b, kdy \u00fadol\u00ed \u010delilo v\u00fdzv\u00e1m zp\u016fsoben\u00fdm nest\u00e1lost\u00ed p\u0159\u00edrody, zejm\u00e9na v zim\u00e1ch 1951 a 1975, kdy se laviny snesly na obytn\u00e9 oblasti, zp\u016fsobily \u0161kody a vy\u017e\u00e1daly si \u017eivoty.<\/p>\n<p>Ekonomick\u00fd r\u016fst ve 30. letech 20. stolet\u00ed upadal, proto\u017ee alpsk\u00e1 turistika se p\u0159esouvala do zaveden\u00fdch letovisek a mnoho hotel\u016f v Ursentalu \u2013 mezi nimi i ty, kter\u00e9 postavila rodina M\u00fcller\u016f, majitel\u00e9 Grand Hotelu Bellevue a dal\u0161\u00edch za\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed, kter\u00e1 kdysi \u00fadol\u00ed posela \u2013 ztichlo nebo zm\u011bnilo sv\u016fj \u00fa\u010del; samotn\u00fd Bellevue, p\u0159em\u011bn\u011bn\u00fd v 70. letech 20. stolet\u00ed na apartm\u00e1ny, st\u00e1l v roce 1990 opu\u0161t\u011bn\u00fd, ne\u017e byl \u0159\u00edzen\u011b demoliov\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>K o\u017eiven\u00ed do\u0161lo ke konci dvac\u00e1t\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, kdy se Andermatt p\u0159eorientoval na alternativu k luxusn\u00edm ly\u017ea\u0159sk\u00fdm destinac\u00edm a p\u0159ijal rozvojovou strategii, kter\u00e1 propojila svahy N\u00e4tschenu s Gemsstockem na ji\u017en\u00edm svahu a prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm Glacier Expressu se Sedrunem a Disentisem, \u010d\u00edm\u017e vytvo\u0159ila propojenou s\u00ed\u0165 celoro\u010dn\u00edch st\u0159edisek. Aliance Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis, sjednocen\u00e1 pod z\u00e1\u0161titou Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, odr\u00e1\u017e\u00ed aspirace jednadvac\u00e1t\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, podpo\u0159en\u00e9 \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed dostupnost\u00ed, kter\u00e1 d\u00e1le integruje N\u00e4tschen se sjezdovkami Oberalpu \u2013 v sou\u010dasnosti dostupn\u00fdmi pouze vlakem \u2013 a slibuje roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00e9 ly\u017ea\u0159sk\u00e9 trasy.<\/p>\n<p>Tuto transformaci doprov\u00e1zely i pob\u00eddky v oblasti nemovitost\u00ed; Andermatt Swiss Alps, kter\u00fd byl v roce 2006 feder\u00e1ln\u00edm dekretem osvobozen od omezen\u00ed Lex Koller, umo\u017e\u0148oval cizinc\u016fm nab\u00fdvat nemovitosti bez zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00edho povolen\u00ed a\u017e do roku 2040, co\u017e umo\u017enilo investici ve v\u00fd\u0161i 1,8 miliardy \u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00fdch frank\u016f vedenou podnikatelem Samihem Sawirisem a p\u0159il\u00e1kalo mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed kupce, zejm\u00e9na americk\u00e9 investory, jejich\u017e n\u00e1kupy byt\u016f na za\u010d\u00e1tku roku 2025 v hodnot\u011b 14,2 milionu \u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00fdch frank\u016f reagovaly na geopolitick\u00e9 nejistoty v zahrani\u010d\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Demograficky se po\u010det obyvatel obce st\u0159\u00eddal: z 605 obyvatel v roce 1799 na 1 589 v roce 1970, do roku 2000 se zmen\u0161il na 1 282 a na konci roku 2020 se jejich po\u010det sn\u00ed\u017eil na 1 527. M\u00edstn\u00edm jazykem p\u0159evl\u00e1d\u00e1 n\u011bm\u010dina (95,2 procenta v roce 2000), doprov\u00e1zen\u00e1 skromn\u00fdmi portugalsk\u00fdmi a italsk\u00fdmi komunitami a desetina obyvatel m\u00e1 ne\u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00e9 ob\u010danstv\u00ed; dosa\u017een\u00e9 vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed je zna\u010dn\u00e9, t\u0159i \u010dtvrtiny obyvatel ve v\u011bku 25 a\u017e 64 let maj\u00ed ukon\u010den\u00e9 vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed st\u0159edn\u00ed nebo terci\u00e1rn\u00ed vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed a m\u00edra nezam\u011bstnanosti je ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e jedno procento. Z ekonomick\u00e9ho hlediska zam\u011bstn\u00e1v\u00e1 prim\u00e1rn\u00ed sektor pades\u00e1t jedna pracovn\u00edk\u016f ve dvaadvaceti podnic\u00edch, sekund\u00e1rn\u00ed sektor zam\u011bstn\u00e1v\u00e1 devades\u00e1t osob ve t\u0159in\u00e1cti podnic\u00edch a terci\u00e1rn\u00ed sektor zam\u011bstn\u00e1v\u00e1 599 zam\u011bstnanc\u016f v sedmdes\u00e1ti osmi podnic\u00edch.<\/p>\n<p>Klimaticky se Andermatt nach\u00e1z\u00ed v subarktick\u00e9m re\u017eimu (\u201edfc\u201c podle K\u00f6ppena) s ro\u010dn\u00edm pr\u016fm\u011brem 139,4 vlhk\u00fdch dn\u016f, kter\u00e9 v letech 1991 a\u017e 2020 p\u0159in\u00e1\u0161ej\u00ed 1 423 milimetr\u016f sr\u00e1\u017eek; v listopadu je zaznamen\u00e1n nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed \u00fahrn sr\u00e1\u017eek, 142 milimetr\u016f za 11,8 dne, v \u010dervnu nej\u010dast\u011bj\u0161\u00ed sr\u00e1\u017eky s 13,2 dny a 131 milimetry a nejsu\u0161\u0161\u00ed z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 \u00fanor s 91 milimetry za 11,4 dne.<\/p>\n<p>Zimn\u00ed rekreace se to\u010d\u00ed kolem dvou hlavn\u00edch ly\u017ea\u0159sk\u00fdch oblast\u00ed: N\u00e4tschen, ty\u010d\u00edc\u00ed se na severov\u00fdchod\u011b a p\u0159\u00edstupn\u00fd \u017eeleznic\u00ed, a Gemsstock na jihu, kter\u00e9 ob\u011b nab\u00edzej\u00ed sjezdovky s vleky a sjezdovky do \u00fadol\u00ed, kter\u00e9 jsou v provozu a\u017e do poloviny b\u0159ezna; milovn\u00edci sjezdovek si cen\u00ed sjezd\u016f mimo sjezdovky a hlubok\u00e9ho sn\u011bhu, kter\u00e9 jsou pro tyto hory charakteristick\u00e9, a strategick\u00e9 pl\u00e1ny po\u010d\u00edtaj\u00ed s jednotn\u00fdmi ly\u017ea\u0159sk\u00fdmi okruhy zahrnuj\u00edc\u00edmi sjezdovky Oberalpu.<\/p>\n<p>Z kulturn\u00edho hlediska p\u0159edstavil Andermatt \u00fa\u010delov\u011b postaven\u00fd koncertn\u00ed s\u00e1l, prvn\u00ed um\u011bleck\u00e9 m\u00edsto koncipovan\u00e9 speci\u00e1ln\u011b pro alpskou vesnici, slavnostn\u011b otev\u0159en\u00e9 pod taktovkou Constantina Carydise v \u010dele Berl\u00ednsk\u00e9 filharmonie; s\u00e1l navr\u017een\u00fd Christinou Seilern a financovan\u00fd Sawirisem, symbolizuje v\u00fdvoj Andermattu z dopravn\u00edho uzlu na centrum alpsk\u00e9ho um\u011bn\u00ed a potvrzuje jeho schopnost hostit p\u0159edstaven\u00ed mezin\u00e1rodn\u00edho kalibru v horsk\u00e9m prost\u0159ed\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>V pr\u016fb\u011bhu sv\u00e9 chronologie se Andermatt propl\u00e9tal prom\u011bnliv\u00fdmi proudy tranzitu, konflikt\u016f a obchodu a zachoval si v\u00fdrazn\u00fd alpsk\u00fd charakter, i kdy\u017e se jeho ekonomika a spole\u010dnost p\u0159izp\u016fsobovaly modern\u00edm po\u017eadavk\u016fm.
