Balchik is a Black Sea coastal town and beach resort in northeastern Bulgaria\u2019s Southern Dobruja region. It is located 35 kilometers southeast of Dobrich and 42 kilometers northeast of Varna in Dobrich Province. It sprawls picturesquely over mountainous terraces that fall from the Dobruja plateau to the sea, and is often referred to as \u201eThe White City\u201c because to its white hills.<\/p>
