Muzeiko is Eastern Europe’s largest children’s science center. Muzeiko is a 2,000-square-foot area featuring more than 130 interactive games for kids and inquisitive adults. The museum’s whole content is aimed at inspiring children to study, discover, and explore the sciences, as well as assisting children, their families, and educators in spending quality time together.<\/p>
The America for Bulgaria Foundation founded Muzeiko, Bulgaria’s first children’s museum, in order to promote informal educational possibilities for Bulgarian children, families, and educators. SKOLNICK’s design for this new, contemporary educational center purposefully portrays the country’s cultural past while also looking to the future and re-connecting Bulgaria with the international community. The 35,000-square-foot facility, which is organized as a journey through time and space, encourages kids and families to experience three floors of exhibits that depict the past, present, and future.<\/p>
A fanciful tree connects the Museum’s three levels. Children experience “The Past” with displays explaining archaeology, geology, and paleontology among the tree’s roots on the lowest level. Hands-on activities on the bottom level concentrate on the natural environment and cities of “The Present.” On the third floor, far above the treetop, children are transported to “The Future” via interactive displays that explore cutting-edge technology and space exploration.<\/p>
Culture, history, environment, science, and technology are all represented in Muzeiko’s themed displays.<\/p>
The displays offer a range of interactive features that are appropriate for children of all ages as well as their parents. Some of these facilities are open to the public. The so-called miniature mountains – three complicated volumes lined with three distinct materials: wood, textiles, and ceramics, reproducing the renowned traditional Bulgarian crafts – woodcarving, embroidered, and painted ceramics – are an intriguing component of the idea.<\/p>
