Given an average depth of 1.8 m, it is also among the shallowest lakes in Europe. About fifty kilometers from Vienna, in the Neusiedl am See area, it is situated. Being a component of the Neusiedler See-Seewinkel National Park, a special environment with wetlands, reed beds, salt marshes, and grasslands, the lake is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For birdwatchers, it is also a wonderland since it features about three hundred different species including storks, flamingos, and pelicans.

     Discover & Explore

Related Articles

   <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="424" height="280" src="https://travel-austria.b-cdn.net/wp-media-folder-austria-by-travel-s-helper/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/B4D6M6mW-Museums-In-Austria-By-Travel-S-Helper-424x280.jpg" class="attachment-townhub-listing-grid size-townhub-listing-grid wp-image-105418" alt="Museums In Austria -
