Little local ski resort Mutteralm boasts 20 kilometers of skiable terrain with a vertical drop of 850 meters. It is between 950 and 1,800 meters above sea level. It’s one of the nine surrounding ski resorts known as Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck.<\/p>

Mutteralm provides something for any level of seasoned, intermediate, or rookie skier. From the village of Gotzens, southwest of Innsbruck, gondola access the very steep red slopes of the resort. These slopes are ideal for thrill-seekers wishing to test their boundaries and enjoy the vast Stubai Alps panorama. Situated between 897 and 1,504 meters in height, Mutteralm Ski Area boasts 16.4 km of slopes. From there, the villages of Mutters and G\u00f6tzens\u2014which are somewhat near to Tyrol’s main city, Innsbruck\u2014are easily reachable. One may reach Mutteralm Ski Area via car, bus, or train. For beginners whether they have never skied or snowboarded before or just want to improve their skills, the slopes surrounding the mountain station are excellent. These have several kid-friendly stairs tools and are broad, basic slopes. Another choice is the 700-meter Almbodenabfahrt, a blue run perfect for both beginners and families.<\/p>

If you are looking for additional diversity and challenge, you may attempt the intermediate courses of the Mutteralm Ski Area.Two choices are available: the 1,400-meter FIS-Abfahrt is used for international competitions; the 1,600-meter Pfriemesabfahrt leads to the Pfriemesk\u00f6pfl, a slalom course drawing international professional skiing teams.One of Austria’s most beautiful woodland descents, the G\u00f6tznerabfahrt offers an excellent valley panorama and is a stunning red run reaching 2,820-meters.<\/p>

Advanced Trails<\/h3>

Expert skiers and snowboarders who want to challenge themselves to the limit might face the Rennstrecke, a 1,000-meter black course demanding both speed and great technique. There is also skiing on the 2,300-meter-long blue Skiweg Axamer Lizum, which connects Mutteralm Ski Area with the adjacent ski resort of Axamer Lizum. Visitors at Mutteralm Ski Area are taken to the slopes by six lifts: two 8-seat gondola lifts, a 4-seat chairlift, a T-bar lift, and a magic carpet lift. From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm\u2014or until 10:00 pm on Wednesdays\u2014the elevators are fresh, clean, and open.
