Haus am Ennstal is a village in Styria’s middle center section, more especially in the Liezen district. Nestled on the Enns River, this municipality is quite special.<\/p>

Nestled in Styria, Austria’s Liezen area, Haus im Ennstal is a charming town. Renowned for its stunning mountainous scenery, the town is located in the lovely Ennstal region. It draws a lot of guests from the neighbourhood as well as from elsewhere. Excellent skiing possibilities in the Dachstein-Tauern region have earned this ski resort great reputation.<\/p>

From the Dachstein plateau in the north to the Schladminger Tauern in the south, Haus im Ennstal covers a broad territory. Rising 2543 meters, the H\u00f6chstein summit is rather lofty. Situated to the south of the Enns River, Hauser Kaibling, the local mountain, stands at an amazing 2015 meters.<\/p>

There are eight settlements in the municipality, each with its unique appeal and character. On the list are Birnberg, Ennsling, Gumpenberg, House, Fief, House of Lords, Oberhausberg, and Wei\u00dfenbach among others. Comprising the cadastral towns of Ennsling, Haus, Oberhaus, and Wei\u00dfenbach, the community is<\/p>

Rising 752 meters above sea level, Haus am Ennstal is situated in the breathtaking Upper Styria region and surrounded by the magnificent Enns river valley. Comprising roughly 67.8 square kilometers, the village boasts a population of almost 2,400 people. Found in the Dachstein-Tauern mountain range in easternmost region of the Alps.<\/p>

Nestled in the Schladming-Dachstein tourism area, Haus am Ennstal offers easy access to many ski destinations like Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm. At about 78%, the humidity is rather lower than in spring. Over years, the population of Haus im Ennstal has dropped. Based on most recent census statistics, the population of the town as of January 1, 2018, was 2,429. From the 2000 census, this stands as a 7.5% decline. Low birth rates, high mortality rates, and negative net migration among other things help to explain the fall.<\/p>

Average population density of Haus im Ennstal is 29.3 persons per square kilometer. The biggest and most populated town community is Aich.<\/p>

With a typical age of 43.2 years, Haus im Ennstal somewhat exceeds the national median age of 42.6 years. Men and women make equal share of the population; each gender accounts for 50% of the whole count. Still, the age distribution of men and women differs somewhat. While the female population has a larger number of middle-aged people between 45-64 years old, the male population shows more young people under the age of 15.<\/p>

With 97.6% of the people of Haus im Ennstal declaring Austrian as their sole or main ethnicity, the population is essentially ethically Austrian.
