Popular winter destination in Austria, Ski Resort Achenkirch is situated near the beautiful Lake Achensee and Karwendel Mountains. There are slopes for all ski and snowboard enthusiasts with different levels of mastery, as well as other activities such as cross-country skiing, Nordic walking, hiking.<\/p>

Ski Resort Achenkirch has 27 kilometers of piste which is broken down into 22%, easy; 59%, intermediate and 19% difficult. Besides this there are several easy wide slopes like the Christlumabfahrt and Sonnenhang where newbies get to practice their moves at ease until they gain more confidence. For intermediate skiers there are many red runs including Riederberg or Christlum Express that provide nice views along with thrilling speed experiences. Finally expert skiers may want to take on some tough black diamonds which include Nordhang or Hinterwies.<\/p>

Apart from skiing and snowboarding Ski Resort Achenkirch also offers other winter activities for its guests. In addition one can also engage in cross country skiing, Nordic walking, hiking sledding ice skating and snowshoeing among others within the confines of this resort\u2019s premises during winter time. Moreover there exists fifty eight kilometres of cross-country trails rated according to difficulty level ranging from easy to difficult that meander through the woods and by the lake. Additionally, there are 150 kilometres of winter hiking trails across some of which is lighted at night for a good view of the mountains and lake. If one wants to have fun there are some sledging hills, skating rink or snowshoe rental shop set up in this area. For those who want to relax, several wellness centers and spas as well as restaurants are located in nearby villages.<\/p>

The Achenkirch ski resort has ten lifts, four of which are chairlifts and four are draglifts. They can carry up to 15,000 people per hour.
