Ellmau is a town in the S\u00f6lllandl region of Austria, in the district of Kufstein. The most current census figures put its population at 2,896.<\/p>

Nestled 820 metres above sea level in the Tyrolean Alps is Ellmau. It is a component of the Ski Welt skiing region, which draws a lot of visitors and winter sports fans. Ellmau’s picturesque scenery and use as a filming site for a number of films and television series, including Der Bergdoktor and The Wilder Kaiser, are other well-known features.<\/p>

Ellmau’s population rose by 6.2% between 2000 and 2015 and by 14.8% between 1975 and 2015. Slightly older than the 42.6 year national average, the population’s median age is 43.8 years old. With 99.8 men to every 100 women, the male population is little smaller than the female population.
