throughout the Iron Age. In the first century AD the Romans built a road across the valley. Kitzb\u00fchel gets its name from Old High German words for &#8220;goat&#8221; and &#8220;hill,&#8221; which fairly capture the unique form of the Kitzb\u00fcheler Horn peak.<\/p><p>Archaeological digs at Kitzb\u00fchel have unearthed amazing relics from prehistoric times and early villages. These discoveries help to clarify the ancient residents of the area by including jewelry, coins, weapons, and ceramics.
