Four communities comprise the Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut UNESCO World Heritage area: Hallstatt, Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt, Gosau, and Obertraun. The Westautobahn A1 (Vienna-Salzburg) leads one straight to these towns from the Regau interchange.
