town in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. Discover the stunning views of the Traunsee lake and tour the Seeschloss Ort, an 11th-century fortress. It so happens that this lake is the biggest and deepest in the Salzkammergut. The tallest peak in the region, Traunstein, is particularly visible from the lake, which offers stunning views of the Alpine highlands.<\/p><p>Nestled on the easternmost point of the Traunstein mountain range is the tranquil Laudachsee lake.
