Historically a mining town in Austria, Schladming has become a well-known tourist destination praised for its breathtaking scenery and cultural sites. Schladming, Rohrmoos-Untertal, Pichl-Preunegg, and Ramsau am Dachstein make four divisions out of the district. Serving as the administrative center and main town, Schladming boasts a population of 6,500. Having a history going back to the 12th century, this area is well-known for its alpine skiing slopes, biathlon courses, ski resorts, and ski jumping hills. Families and environmentalists especially like Rohrmoos-Untertal because of its ski resorts and gorgeous surroundings. Located on the Enns river, Pichl-Preunegg is a traditional farming community offering housing, regional cuisine, and a skiing resort. Quiet and peaceful Preunegg offers a range of local cuisine together with housing choices. Renowned as a top winter sports destination, Ramsau am Dachstein is 2,700-person town. Among top-notch facilities it provides are alpine skiing slopes, biathlon courses, a world-class cross-country skiing center, and ski jumping hills. It also offers a summer haven with chances for bicycling, golfing, swimming, horseback riding, climbing, and trekking.

Schladming

Nestled over the Enns river, Schladming is the main administrative division and the historical center of the town. With so many businesses including stores, restaurants, bars, and hotels, this extremely urban area is vibrant. It also forms the primary site for the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area, which has the Planai and Hochwurzen ski mountains. Rohrmoos-Untertal

Second-largest district Rohrmoos-Untertal is located on the scenic Dachstein range slopes. Rich in farms, meadows, and forests, this area is marked by its rustic and peaceful character. Together with the Hochwurzen and Reiteralm ski mountains, it is also a component of the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area. Anyone who value the outdoors and like outdoor pursuits will find Rohrmoos-Untertal ideal. It has a great variety of chances for cross-country skiing, bicycling, climbing, and hiking. Among the various natural and cultural sites Rohrmoos-Untertal offers are the beautiful Riesach waterfall, the breathtaking Silberkarklamm valley, the lovely mountain meadow Ursprungalm, and the old Rohrmoos church.

Pichl-Preunegg

Third largest region on southern side of the Enns valley is Pichl-Preunegg. Furthermore the most varied district in the region is this one. With mountains, rivers, and various lakes, the country is distinguished by its varied and bold scene. Together with the Reiteralm and Fageralm ski mountains, it also exists in the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area. Families and sports fans would find Pichl-Preunegg to be a perfect location as it provides so many chances for swimming in lakes, rafting excursions, ziplining adventures, and ski school enrollment. With various glaciers, mountains, and meadows, this area is distinguished by its alpine and lovely character. It also fits the Schladming-Dachstein region, which comprises the Ramsau ski resort and the Dachstein glacier. With several ski slopes, cross-country paths, ice rinks, and hiking paths, Ramsau am Dachstein has a wealth of winter sports and summer activities. Among the many breathtaking views Ramsau am Dachstein offers are the Dachstein Skywalk, Dachstein Ice Palace, Dachstein Suspension Bridge, and Ramsau Beach.
