The religious object was created on a land provided by a member of the Xhura family when communism fell, thus its name. The mosque is a popular temple among residents and a popular tourist destination in Tirana.<\/p><p>The Xhura Mosque harkens back to the days of Ottoman control and Turkish influence in Albania. It is located some way from the core of Albania&#8217;s capital and does not seem to be a place of Muslim prayer from the outside. A solitary minaret, on the other hand, emphasizes the object&#8217;s religious importance.
